The slow parts, made fast.
Peakloom does not pretend a professional editor is simple. It makes the slow parts fast and leaves the craft to you.
Golden hour, on demand.
Peakloom sees your photo in 3D. Drag the sun across the sky, pull focus with true lens blur, roll in depth-aware fog - hours after the shutter clicked, all on your own machine.

Erase. Fill. Expand.
Brush away tourists, wires and clutter. Paint in things that were never there. Stretch the canvas past the edge of the frame - and let AI finish the scene.
Select. Lift. Layer.
One click and the AI knows what your subject is. Lift it onto its own layer and the background heals itself behind it - no hole, nothing left to patch. Then slide type in behind it, the way the good posters do.

Old photos, brought back.
Scratches disappear, washed-out colour returns, faces come back into focus - and AI Upscale rebuilds the detail pixel by pixel. A damaged print becomes a wall-size photograph.

- Descratch & repair

AfterBefore
Their best look. Still them.
One click smooths skin, brightens eyes and whitens teeth - face-aware, never plastic. And a Liquify that knows faces reshapes what you want without warping what you love.

- Eyes & Teeth
- Face-aware Liquify
Many photos. One story.
Drop photos into designer layouts and they snap into place. Crop and pan inside each cell, tune gutters and ratios - a finished collage in the time it takes to pick the pictures.

AI that runs on your own machine.
Smart Erase, subject selection, restoration, upscaling, depth analysis and one-tap looks all run right on your own machine - fast, private, and with nothing uploaded.

Drag the handle. See the work.
Everything above this plays as you scroll. This one you drive yourself: pull the divider across and compare the file that went in with what came out.

The damaged original on the right, detail recovered on the left. Runs on your own machine.
And much more
The pro toolkit keeps going.
One-tap Looks
Orton Glow, Cinematic Grade, HDR Clarity and more - full color recipes, fully non-destructive, with live sliders when you want control.
Magic Selection
Magic Wand, quick brush selection, add and subtract - refine any selection until it is exactly right.
Photoshop blend modes
Linear Light, Vivid Light, Hard Mix and more - GPU-rendered, faithful to the originals.
Curves & Levels
Full tonal control per channel, Lightroom-style.
LUTs & .cube import
Import any .cube LUT, save your own looks, grade like a colorist.
Layer effects & materials
Shadows, glows, bevels, strokes - plus metal, glass and texture surface finishes.
PSD import
Bring layered Photoshop files across with layers, text and blend modes intact.
Pen tool & text on path
True bezier paths - and text or images that flow along any curve.
Clone Stamp
Classic source-and-paint retouching with aligned and free modes.
Frame masks
Drag a photo into any shape and it clips itself - Canva-style, fully editable.
Pro export
PNG, JPG, TIFF, AVIF and HEIC at 0.5×-3× scales - plus a native .peakloom format with Finder previews.
Unlimited layers. 50 steps of undo. Non-destructive everywhere.
A whole grading suite, not a row of filters.
Looks and film LUTs ship with the app, grouped the way a colourist would group them. Apply one and keep working - nothing is baked in.

A Look is not a filter
A Look is a recipe - contrast, vibrance, hue and saturation per colour band, split toning, gradient maps. Apply one and every slider is still there to move. A LUT is a fixed lookup table with a single strength dial. Both are one click away; only one of them lets you argue with it afterwards.
Import your own .cube files and they sit alongside the built-in ones.
Three workspaces most photo editors don't have.
Store artwork is its own kind of work, and doing it in a general-purpose editor means rebuilding the same scaffolding every release. These are built in.
Design the icon, export every size.
A 1024×1024 canvas with the keyline grid on top, and a preview column that tells you the truth about small sizes.
- The preview dock draws 128, 64, 48, 32, 24 and 16 px at true 1:1, so you find out your glyph is unreadable before the store does.
- See it on a real iPhone, Mac and Android home screen, not floating on a swatch.
- Exports an AppIcon.appiconset with its Contents.json, an .icns for macOS, the full Android density set, and favicon.ico plus a web manifest.
- iOS squircle, circle, rounded and square masks, an appearance-aware dark variant, and an Android safe-zone check before you export.

Store screenshots, art-directed.
Drop your app screens in, pick a template, and get an upload-ready set in every size the store asks for.
- 21 App Store size targets - iPhone 6.9", 6.5", 6.3" and 6.1", five iPad sizes, Apple Watch and Android, each in portrait and landscape.
- Device frames are drawn as vectors, not bitmaps, so they stay sharp at any canvas scale. Up to ten panels on one canvas.
- Twenty designed templates with their own type pairing and palette. Shuffle the colours, or pull them from your app icon.
- Exports into correctly named folders - iPhone-6.9, iPad-13-Landscape - so the upload is drag and drop.

Free photography, already inside.
Search Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay from the Start Hub and drop a result straight onto the canvas.
- Three providers behind one search field, with your recent searches kept and an infinite masonry grid.
- Click a photo and it lands on the canvas as a layer. No download folder, no re-import.
- The photographer's credit is on every tile and stays clickable, because that is what the providers' terms require - not something you have to remember.
Build the recipe once. Run the folder.
Stack the steps you want, watch a real file from the queue update as you tune them, then set it going. It all runs on your own machine, so it works offline and costs no AI credits.

Order is part of the recipe
Drag the steps into the sequence you want. Removing the background and then resizing is not the same operation as resizing first, and the result shows it.
See it before you commit
The preview runs the real pipeline on a file from the queue and redraws as you tune. Both panes share one zoom, so you can sit on a detail and watch it change.
Recipes travel
Save one, name it, reuse it. Export it as JSON and hand it to someone else - the output folder is always stripped, so a shared recipe never points at your disk.
One bad file doesn't end the run
It gets marked with a reason and the queue carries on. Stop whenever you like; everything already written stays where it is. Model downloads are settled before the first file, not forty in.
Opens your files. Writes them back.
Peakloom is not a one-way door. Bring in the PSDs and RAW files you already own, keep every edit live, and hand off in whatever format the next tool expects.
Open
What comes in.
- Photoshop PSD with its layers, adjustment layers, layer effects, editable text and smart objects.
- Camera RAW from 15 extensions across ten manufacturers, with a develop panel on macOS.
- PNG, JPG, TIFF, HEIC, AVIF and the rest of the usual raster formats.
- Native .peakloom projects, kept in a folder on your own disk.
Edit
What stays live.
- 15 kinds of adjustment layer, from Curves and Levels to Gradient Map and Color Lookup.
- Eight layer effects: drop and inner shadow, outer and inner glow, bevel, stroke, colour overlay, reflection.
- Layer masks, clipping masks and frames. Paint them, refine the edge, switch them off.
- Smart objects whose contents you can swap or re-edit at any point.
- Preset warps, a freeform 16-point mesh, and Liquify over the top.
- Fifty steps of named history, with Compare Original on a single key.
Export
What you hand off.
- PNG, JPG, TIFF, HEIC and AVIF up to 16,384 px, several formats and sizes in one pass.
- SVG for anything built from shapes, text and paths.
- PSD back out, with layers, effects and editable text intact.
- MP4 straight from a depth animation.
- Full app-icon sets for iOS, macOS, Android and web, plus App Store screenshot exports.
You never start from a blank canvas.
Templates, elements, film grades and generators ship inside the app. Open one, drop your photo in, change the words. Or ignore all of it and start empty.

Questions people actually ask.
Is Peakloom really free?
The editor is, and so is every AI feature that runs on your own machine. Free exports carry a small watermark in the corner. Pro removes it, unlocks the two cloud-generative tools, and unlocks Batch Process - which still runs entirely on your machine, so it costs no credits.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Background removal, subject selection, object erase, upscaling, restoration, colorization, depth and face detection all run on your own machine. Only Generative Fill and Rotate Object call a server, and both are things you go out of your way to click.
Can it open my Photoshop files?
Yes, and it writes them back out. PSD import keeps layers, adjustment layers, layer effects, editable text and smart objects, and PSD export puts them back.
Do I need an account?
Not to download it, and not for the editor or any of the on-device AI. You sign in only for Pro features, so your purchase and your AI credits stay attached to you.
Will it run on my Intel Mac?
Yes. Peakloom needs macOS 13.3 Ventura or later and runs on both Apple silicon and Intel. One background-removal engine, the fastest one, uses Apple's own vision framework and needs macOS 14 on Apple silicon; the other engines run everywhere.
Is there a Windows version?
Yes. Peakloom 1.0.150 runs on Windows 10 64-bit or later.
Are the AI models a huge download?
Nothing ships pre-bundled. Each model downloads only when you first use the feature that needs it, and the app shows you the exact size before it starts. They range from about 5 MB to just under a gigabyte for the highest-quality background removal.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The editor and every on-device AI feature work with no network at all. Only the two cloud tools need one.
Does it open camera RAW?
Yes. Peakloom supports 15 RAW extensions across Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus, Pentax, Samsung, Leica and Adobe or Apple ProRAW.
